(An ode about my daily struggle to go to college. My college started at 8:30 and they used to take away our ID cards if we were late. )
Floating over the clouds soaked in delight
i was playing with reveries and the stars in sight...
Euphoria sprinkled over the serene skies
Genteel winds, luxurious bean-bags and french fries.
Sixty hUnks and a peacock, angels and naughty devils,
i wud hv spent eons there, had it not been for worldly evils.
Beep! (n'er h'rd o' censorship here), O' Beep beep and beep...
my spirits rouse, slamming down the alarm clock; lets get back to sleep!
Hard i try to drift back, flight over the clouds abt 2 begin
A lil more sleep + Addiction to pleasure is not a bad thing
My brain attenuates my senses, just in time i hear my dad shout,
"It's 7:20, come on u, u r always late 4 college, get outta bed, OUT!!"
Wallowing in cosy warmth, i beg for 5 minutes more,
i manage to catch some 40 winks, dawning into morning abhor.
Mechanical walk to d bathroom after 10 minutes rush,
i trust my instincts to pick out d right brush.
Fingers numb with edacious torpor,
wish i'd an auto toothpaste dispenser.
i sink into a foamy abyss,
i dont mind giving my bath a miss.
A 5 min fight with gargantuan tempt to bunk college
while toothpaste soaks in, till the drippin froth,i acknowledge.
plus another 5,smouldering in habitual venegence
everyday i kill my heart for attendance !
Super fresh-breath demands some tea
super-quick su-doku is coffee for me.
i sit flipping away d latest newspaper
shielding from mom's nagging temper.
before i realize its 8:10
frantically hurryin seems germane
Yet wen i step under d shower
i spend what seems like an hour
Immersed in amorous moisture
sensuous droplets,luscious lather...
i do indulge & my senses invigorate
God damn it! im late!!!
8:30-time for a routine wardrobe-odyssey
i end up wearing the first uncrumpled thing i see.
My dad drops me to college, he's forever ready and shouting
Mom isnt far behind, but she helps me in spects-hunting.
Shoes, wallet, watch and uncharged cell
i grab 'em on an ephemeral trip to messy-hell.
i run downstairs to my car
college is just 7km far.
hair-brush and books in d car,i lay
swear at every vehicle tht comes in our way
traffic and signals r a threat to my ID
but its fine,its around 8:40 (or 8:50?)
Vermicular drive amongst some sluggish ricks
I reach college, burning bi-ended candle's wicks
Climbing the parietal mountain, physical and mental
Weltering i reach my class, bored and suicidal.
Sitting on the first bench, i concentrate deep
on keeping my eyes open while i sleep...
i Float over the clouds soaked in delight
and play with reveries and the stars in sight.

Cold rhymes
This ephemeral agony scatters
some pristine droplets of life, Pause.
Air fills up with clogged contingency,
the heart skips a beat to this infectious cause.
The moon shines high and the stars glisten
and darkness merges with the the fragrant breeze.
Benignant distress apart, lost in dreams am i
till interrupted by an unceremonious sneeze
some pristine droplets of life, Pause.
Air fills up with clogged contingency,
the heart skips a beat to this infectious cause.
The moon shines high and the stars glisten
and darkness merges with the the fragrant breeze.
Benignant distress apart, lost in dreams am i
till interrupted by an unceremonious sneeze
Just another poem
Inspired by an enamoured rhyme,
i composed my reply this time.
For the link, i'd waited long
from the 'source' to which my greetings belong.
Stumbled upon it yestrday,
the entry in which my interest lay.
I started reading with sweet indifference
coz it claimed no direct refrence.
For while I knew not what it to me said,
Before its doubts were into mine conveyed,
Of God and nature, glory, bliss, and pleasure,
That love might be his heavenly treasure.
This, my dear friends, this was my blessed case.
For nothing spoke to me but the fair face.
Now i am tired of poetry, i have said enuff,
about Her, Him and all his enigmatic stuff.
I know my lyrical ode isn't as sublime
but that was one helluva enamoured rhyme!!!
